The Good Tree is a Christian non-profit food bank serving primarily low-income East Asian families in the North York area. We go beyond simple food provision by offering culturally appropriate foods and services to Korean, Chinese, Filipino, and other East Asian communities who face language and cultural barriers in accessing existing support systems.

Founded in 2025, our organization emerged from demographic analysis revealing that while North York has a high concentration of East Asian residents, there was a significant gap in specialized food bank services tailored to these communities’ unique needs.

We believe that dignity, cultural respect, and God’s love should be at the heart of community support. Through our bilingual services and culturally sensitive approach, we aim to bridge the gap between available resources and the families who need them most.
